Plant Work
November 2004

The Removing Invasive Plants (RIP) committee held two successful work events. On Saturday November 20, thirteen people came to Section 7 to cut Porcelainberry from the ground and the trees. We made a lot of progress, and hope to clear more vines and other plants from the pond area where we were working. Thirty-five people worked in Section 4 on Sunday November 21. We cut English ivy from about 50 trees and still had a little time to work on Porcelainberry. We had a great turnout and a great weekend of freeing the trees. Thanks again to everyone who came out to work!
