At seven inches wide, the English ivy "vine" was more a fireplace log. In January, new WAH President Jere Stocks put FoSC in touch with the hospital's grounds manager, who quickly put his gardeners to work on the hospital's ivy-choked trees which grow on the hillside bordering Sligo Creek. Section 2 Steward Marty Ittner tagged the native wild grape before work started. In one day, the job was done. It's clear from the size of the ivy it was the first vine-cutting for the trees.
Thank you, WAH!
