We will be having a creek cleanup on Saturday April 12 for the Long Branch Creek (a tributary of Sligo Creek) between the Long Branch library and north up the creek to the church on Franklin Ave. We get gloves and trash bags from the county for the cleanup and the county will pick up the full bags in the following week.
This is the bi-annual creek cleanup that is sponsored by the SligoBranview Community Association. In cleanups in previous years we have found amazing quantities of empty bottles and cans in our cleanups. In fact we generally are unable to get them all!
Please come on down to the library on Saturday, April 12 at 9 am and lend a hand.
