As I walked up the road between the first and second bridge down stream from Piney Branch, 4 or 5 Bluejays flew over me and into the brush. Then this one flew out on to the road and layed out like it was resting. It then flew off when the others left.
The mushroom's unusal color drew my attention as I walked downstream on the path from the blue jay sighting.

These fledgling herons were near the last foot bridge upstream from Park Valley Rd. Bridge.

A gentleman was kind enough to point out the snake to me, it was in the rocks under the bridge at Aspen Ave.
