Original Entry - November 2003
Hurricane Isabel felled a large tree across Section 2 Sligo path which in turn flattened a silver maple sapling. The county removed the big tree, but neglected the maple. FoSC's Clair Garman and Marty Ittner hoisted the tree to standing, using Clair's "come along"--a winch-like contraption that he fastened to the sapling and another tree. Stay tuned this spring to see if the little maple makes it.
