Toxic dumping near Evans Parkway/Bucknell tributary of Wheaton Branch

A serious mess of dumped paint cans, thinners, plaster bin, and assorted job paraphernalia was dumped some time in August in a drainage ditch on Evans Parkway, a yard or two west of the Bucknell tributary. The DEP was informed through their website August 20th or so. The DEP has never replied about any of the dumping I have reported around my Silver Spring/Forest Estates neighborhood.

This dumping shows the continued need for outreach to the Wheaton day laborer center, to those workers who might not know that there are safe and convenient ways to dispose of these items in regular trash pick-ups. Montgomery County picks up latex paint cans that have the paint dried up.
